TutorLab for A-Level tutors

A-Level tutoring is about hitting a specific target grade by a specific date. TutorLab tracks mock scores, projects trajectory, generates exam-style practice, and writes parent reports that address UCAS predictions directly.

No card required. £29/month after trial — or £24/month on yearly billing.

Where most tutors lose hours every week

The admin around teaching tends to eat more time than the teaching itself. These are the exact problems TutorLab is built to solve.

Target grades are the whole game

A Year 13 student with a UCAS offer of AAB is a different customer than a Year 12 casually preparing. Your tools need to treat them differently.

Mock tracking is usually in your head

Three mocks over the year, per student, per subject — that's a lot of data to hold mentally. Miss a trend and you don't catch a problem until it's late.

Paper 3 synoptic practice is rare

Most tutors focus on topic mastery. Paper 3's synoptic questions need a different, cross-topic drill that rarely gets scheduled.

How TutorLab helps

Every feature is designed around a UK tutor's working week.

Target-grade dashboards per student

Each A-Level student shows target vs current estimate, most recent mock, and trajectory. You see who's at risk in one glance.

Mock tracking built in

Enter mock scores; TutorLab stores them and surfaces trends. Reports pull directly from this data.

Synoptic and essay-style generation

Generate Paper 3 synoptic questions that cut across topics. For essay subjects (Biology Paper 3, History, English Lit), generate mark-scheme-matched sample responses.

What A-Level tutoring with TutorLab looks like

Sunday evening planning: TutorLab dashboard shows 5 A-Level students. Two are on track, two are borderline vs target, one is slipping. For the slipping student (AAB offer, current Maths trajectory B), you click into the profile — last mock was 52% on Paper 2, weakest area was integration. You generate a 3-lesson focused plan on integration with synoptic questions that also revisit algebra. Three weeks later you log the next mock at 68%; the dashboard updates trajectory to "on track." At end of term, the parent report references these specific mocks and the intervention directly.

Generated in under 10 seconds inside TutorLab. You can edit, save as a template, or send it to parents from the same screen.

Common questions

Does TutorLab generate mark schemes too?

Yes. For essay subjects the AI produces a banded mark scheme in the exam board's style, which is useful for marking student responses honestly.

Which A-Level subjects are best supported?

Maths, Further Maths (partial), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, English Literature, History, Psychology and Computer Science. Others work but with less specification-specific content.

Can I add UCAS offer details to a student profile?

Yes. Offer (e.g. "AAB, 1st choice X") is stored on the profile and the AI weights trajectory language against it.
