Gavin Collings

With a Physics degree from the University of Cambridge, I bring a deep and enduring passion for mathematics and physics to my tutoring. After years of successfully guiding my own sons through their studies, I discovered a genuine love for teaching and the satisfaction of helping students achieve their potential. My approach is tailored to each individual, whether they need to build a solid foundation in core concepts or explore advanced topics with greater depth. I particularly enjoy working with students preparing for A-level exams, though I also support those at GCSE level or tackling university entrance exams like the NSAA, PAT, MAT or STEP. My experience spans Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Engineering, allowing me to assist with both coursework and exam preparation. Beyond academia, I maintain an active interest in physics and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the subject. When I’m not tutoring, you’ll find me leading a local mixed harmony singing group or exploring the countryside—though I’m always happy to bring my expertise to students in Stroud or online.
